Mountain Adventurers are just that! A season-long program that provides students an adventure on the mountain! The goal is to introduce and hone techniques and skills that will take them on a lifelong journey of skiing and riding.  Lesson focus for each group member will be differentiated to meet the specific needs and goals of the student. This means that unlike a traditional lesson, where the class works on the same drill all at once for a specific goal, each drill will be customized to each student’s goals. This program is more about discovery through exposure to skills and techniques as well as using the whole mountain as a playground!

A core group of instructors will be assigned to the groups for the duration of the program. The participant must have the minimum ability to ski or ride blue terrain comfortably and ride a lift with other children or with the general public after receiving instructions in order to participate.

Based on the mountain conditions of the day, skiers and riders may find themselves:

  • carving the fresh corduroy,

  • slashing up the pow pow or taking steps to dial in their front-B’s.

  • bounce through some moguls

  • navigate through the glades or

  • race through some brush gates

Every day will bring a different adventure for the kids in this program. Skiers/snowboarders will be grouped by ability.

Helmets are required for all program participants.

Please be sure to select the correct program for the ability level of your child  Underestimating the ability level of your child is much easier to adjust than overestimating their ability level.  Children who do not meet the required minimum ability level and chairlift ability will be moved down to other programs based on availability.

Please arrive for drop off at 9:30am in the Berkshire Room of the Berkshire Lodge.  Designated drop off times enable the groups to be out on the snow for the start time of 10:00am.  If you are late to the snow for the start time (10:00am) you risk forfeiting or you will need to wait at a designated lift that day  for the group to come down and pick up your child on the next run. This time will not be rescheduled, nor will a refund/credit be given.

  • Children must arrive dressed and ready for snow.

  • Parents are responsible for picking up rental equipment and getting children geared up.

  • Due to chair lift capacity limits, children may be required to ride chair without an instructor.
